I’m a legend in my own mind. Born in the Netherlands, that tiny bit of land borrowed from the North Sea, where I lived, loved and worked until I found my true home in Tanzania.
There’s good days, there’s bad days. And then there are days when you feel privileged to be experiencing something so magical, you just know you are where it all started. Which is why the blog, because moments like these need digital canvas. And when the cats have once-more embarked on an inter-catactic war-game only they know the rules of using my entire photo-DVD collection as shields, there is, at the very least, the Wayback Machine.

If you are that kind of person, or maybe want to be just this one time, you can waste some ridiculously expensive super-computer time of the No Such Agencies of this world, having them decode your – what will without a doubt turn out to be – completely harmless message, by first encrypting it with my public key.
* DISCLAIMER
Most of what evolves around the domain nielsemmer.com is part of what might very well be described as one of the larger wastes of time fiddling with bits & bytes ever since, well, ever since there have been bits & bytes. The unsuspecting visitor might encounter the occasional error-page, an offensive picture or font-type, even, on the blog, the occasional opinion. Heavens forbid.
